Dayton Continues Clean and Green Focus
The City of Dayton recognizes the following clean and green initiatives:
- Vaughn Interior Concepts is including green technologies in its new Dayton production facility and builds many of its custom products from recycled materials.

USGBC LEED:
Vaughn Interior Concepts can help meet the following LEED requirements on all jobs:
- MR 3.1: Materials Reuse: 5%
Intent: Increase demand for building materials and products that are extracted and manufactured within the region; thereby supporting the use of indigenous resources and reducing the environmental impacts resulting from transportation. - MR 3.2: Materials Reuse: 10%
Intent: Reuse building materials and products in order to reduce demand for virgin materials and to reduce waste; thereby reducing impacts associated with the extraction and processing of virgin resources. - MR 4.1: Recycled Content: 10% (post-consumer + 1/2 pre-consumer)
Intent: Increase demand for building products that incorporate recycled content materials; thereby reducing impacts resulting from extraction and processing of virgin materials. - MR4.2: Recycled Content: 20% (post-consumer + 1/2 pre-consumer)
Intent: Use materials with recycled content such that the sum of post-consumer recycled content plus one-half of the pre-consumer content constitutes an additional 10% beyond MR Credit 4.1 (total of 20%, based on cost) of the total value of the materials in the project. - MR 5.1: Regional Materials: 10% Extracted, Processed & Manufactured Regionally

Intent: Encourage environmentally responsible forest management. Vaughn Interior Concepts will use an FSC certified material supplier as requested by our customer. - EQ 4.1: Low-Emitting Materials: Adhesives & Sealants
Intent: Reduce the quantity of indoor air contaminants that are odorous, irritating and/or harmful to the comfort and well-being of installers and occupants. - EQ 4.4: Low-Emitting Materials: Composite Wood & Agrifiber Products
